Let Go, and Let God

LET GO, AND LET GOD  By: Patsy Weiser

Let go and let God has become a cliché. However it is so much more than a cliché for those who actually practice doing it. When God created humans, he gave us a free will. He did not want robots that were not able to make their own decisions and would perform a certain way. That is why we have choices to make ….choices that impact our daily lives as well as our future. The biggest choice we have to make is whether to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior or not believe. Of course, each decision brings with it consequences.

Letting go and letting God handle our problems and daily lives is sometimes easier said than done. But the more we do it, the easier it becomes because we see results and feel peace when we do. God will not violate our free will. As long as we are worrying about a situation and trying to handle it on our own, He backs off and lets us keep trying. When we finally come to the place where we throw our hands up and say, “I can’t do this on my own, help me God!” That is when He takes over. Sometimes we see results instantaneously but sometimes it may take a while. He is so faithful and His answers and ways are so much better than ours.

We do not go through anything that is a surprise to God. In fact He allows the situations we face so that we can mature as Christians and experience growth in areas where we are weak. I am so thankful that He loves me, as well as each one of you, that much! Letting go and letting God is the only way to lead a peaceful, stress-free life.
