FAVORITE STYLE OF BOAR HUNTING: It's hard to pick a favorite. I'll take'm any way they come. For me, its not so much killing the beast as it is learning more about them. I gain just as much or more by watching the animals and studying their behavior, actions, and reactions. To me this makes a good hunter better. Don't get me wrong, pulling the trigger has its rewards.

FAVORITE WEAPON: Although I don't take as many hogs as I used to my favorite weapon is my Ruger Super Redhawk (44mag).

BOAR SPECIALTY: Five years guiding and many more years trapping. Picking a specialty would be tough. My specialty was thinking outside the box and using innovative techniques to draw in trophy boar and get them in a trap or take them with a weapon.

OTHER GAME PURSUED: Rocky Mountain Elk and Mule Deer, Whitetail, Coyotes.

ADVICE TO NEW HOG HUNTERS: After guiding its hard to know what advice to give because the knowledge one needs is vast. I guess that's the answer. LEARN, no matter what you're quarry, or how you attempt to get it always be willing to LEARN and listen to others experience and or experiences. Gaining knowledge equals success.

STATEMENT TO THE SPORT: Pass It On! Hunting is not a "RIGHT". We the citizens are not guaranteed a "RIGHT to HUNTING" in the constitution. It is a TRADITION, some call it a SPORT but above all it is a privilege provided and regulated by the government. A privilege that is under attack by "ANTIs and EXTREMIST" and slowly but surely our privilege is being taken away. Their movement is fueled by unethical, disrespectful gun totors who call themselves hunters. My statement, my hope, is that every person who picks up a weapon to pursue game or sets a trap do it ethically and legally with respect to both the animal and the people. Disregard for the animal and the law, along with disrespect to other citizens is what furnishes the "ANTIs and extremist" with the fuel that drives them to get new laws passed chopping away at the privilege we too often take for granted. My deepest desire is to see my son my daughters with a gun or fishing pole in hand taking "ME" and my grandchildren to experience the outdoors as I experienced itwith my family. Indeed, even to a better outdoor experience!

FAVORITE WILD BOAR CHARACTERISTIC: Their unmatched ability to adapt and survive. No other animal equals the wild boar. They have conquered every domain from snow capped mountains to desert.
